Frequently asked questions
How do I add my music?
Tap Add Folder and choose a folder in Files. Or copy music into Files → On My iPhone → Navo; from a Mac, drag files into Navo in Finder (iPhone → Files). Pull down in the Library to rescan.
Does Navo copy my files?
No. It plays them where they are and only remembers where the folder is.
Which formats are supported?
MP3, AAC/M4A, ALAC, FLAC, WAV and AIFF. Files protected with DRM (old iTunes purchases) can't be played.
A folder shows “No access”.
The folder was moved, renamed or its drive is disconnected. Add the folder again from Files.
Some tracks from iCloud Drive are missing.
Files that are not downloaded to the iPhone yet are downloaded automatically and appear after the next rescan.
Titles show strange symbols.
Navo repairs old Cyrillic tags in Windows-1251 automatically. If a file still looks wrong, please send us its name and we will look into it.
What is the difference between “Remove from Library” and “Delete File”?
Remove from Library hides the track and keeps the file; you can return it in Settings → Removed Tracks. Delete File permanently deletes the file from its folder after you confirm.
Where do the lyrics come from?
From LRCLIB (lrclib.net), an open catalog of lyrics. Navo searches only when you ask and shows you each match before saving it.
Does Navo sync playlists between devices?
Not yet. Playlists and settings stay on the device.
I bought Navo on iPhone. Do I pay again on iPad or Mac?
No. When the iPad and Mac versions come out, they will be part of the same purchase.
