Frequently asked questions
Where does the weather data come from?
From Open-Meteo, an open weather service: forecasts, air quality and city search. The weather radar is displayed through a Windy map.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, fetching weather data requires a connection. The last loaded forecast stays on screen when you are offline.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up or login — just open the app and use it.
How do I add a city?
Tap the city name at the top of the screen and start typing — any city in the world is available. The star adds a city to your favourites.
What does the real-time chart show?
Micro-fluctuations of temperature, wind, pressure and humidity around the current weather-station values. It is a visualisation of the dynamics, not readings from your iPhone’s sensors. The actual data refreshes at the interval you choose in Settings.
How do I change the language or units?
The gear icon in the top-right corner — it holds °C/°F, all 8 interface languages and the auto-refresh interval.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Only to detect your city when you tap “My location” yourself. The permission is optional — the app works fully without it.
Is the app paid?
No. AtmoPulse is completely free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
